Our Winemakers

Our wines are hand crafted by the talented Armand Lacomme - Senior Winemaker at McLaren Vintners. Armand now calls Australia home after growing up in South Africa and studying Viticulture & Oenology at Stellenbosch University. Armand has worked in South Africa, France (Chateaneuf du Pape, Domeaine de Maubet) and Australia.

Speaking three languages and aligning with the values of Starrs Reach Vineyard, Armand is committed to a sustainable and minimal intervention approach to winemaking, allowing the wine to tell the story of the land on which it was grown.

Starrs Reach Vineyard crafts value added and low input wine from its estate grown fruit and has a reputation for producing award winning unbranded wine products in a variety of styles and end uses.

We can work with your wine brand to tailor your own single vineyard, branded wine product and provide you with a high quality and consistent supply for years to come. We have our own winemakers to assist and advise you specific to their experience with our fruit. Being diverse in scale, variety, and parcels of distinct styles of fruit, each customer can craft their own unique blend and required volume.

We can work with customers from all over the world and are able to give our client brand an appellation, a product with true terroir and an opportunity to build their brand with us. Our wine is produced using sustainable and environmentally friendly practices and limited chemical interference.
